Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

IdeaWave TUI

Connect your local AI coding agents to a collaborative IdeaWave board.

Get started

Install and sign in to a supported agent such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or OpenCode. Then launch IdeaWave:

npx --yes ideawave@latest
# or
bunx ideawave@latest

Keep the TUI running, open ideawave.app, and start working with your agent directly on the board.

Requires Node.js 22 or newer, or Bun 1.2.16 or newer (no Node needed). Available for macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Nightly and production

Production follows main: npx --yes ideawave@latest or bunx ideawave@latest. Nightly follows staging: npx --yes ideawave@nightly or bunx ideawave@nightly; open https://ideawave-app-staging.up.railway.app with the nightly host running.

Both can run at once. Production uses bridge ports 43275–43277 and its existing ideawave configuration directory. Nightly uses ports 43278–43280 and a separate ideawave-nightly configuration/cache directory, including independent first-run setup. Production settings are not copied. Explicit runtime/cache path overrides still apply; use distinct override paths if running both channels.

The package version selects the channel automatically. --dev only enables PR preview origins; it does not switch production to nightly. A globally installed ideawave command represents whichever version was installed most recently; use the versioned npx/bunx commands for side-by-side operation.
