Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

   )O_O(
  { (_) }
   `-^-'

Query MarketSizer from the command line. Authenticate once with your MarketSizer account; everything runs over HTTPS, scoped to your organization.

Install

Requires: Node.js 18+

npm install -g iggy-cli

That's it — iggy is now available from any terminal.

Interactive mode

Run iggy with no arguments to drop into an interactive prompt:

$ iggy
iggy> discover --country US --limit 5
iggy> prospect stripe.com
iggy> ? # commands ?? # examples exit # quit

Tab-completion works. Or run any command directly (one-shot), e.g. iggy discover ....

iggy login

This opens your browser to sign in to MarketSizer and generate a CLI token. Paste the token back into the prompt. Your access matches your MarketSizer account — data is scoped to your organization.

iggy whoami # confirm who you're signed in as
iggy logout # sign out

Commands

| Command | What it does | |---------|--------------| | iggy discover [filters] | Find companies by country, ICP tier, traffic, vendor | | iggy prospect <domain> | Full company brief — company profile, signals, lead status, competitive intel | | iggy lookup <domain> | Enriched company profile + your lead status for that domain | | iggy credits balance | Your current credit balance | | iggy credits usage | Daily credit usage over time | | iggy market <vendor> | Vendor market data — installs, churn, trends, battle cards * | | iggy compete <a> <b> | Head-to-head vendor comparison — share, churn flow, trends * | | iggy ask "<question>" | Ask Iggy anything in natural language | | iggy upgrade | Update to the latest version |

* market and compete are part of the vendor market intel add-on. If they're not enabled for your account, contact your MarketSizer rep.

Examples

# Find US Tier-1 companies
iggy discover --country US --icp-tier "Tier 1" --limit 10

# Full brief on a company
iggy prospect stripe.com

# Vendor market intel (add-on)
iggy market shopify
iggy compete shopify woocommerce

# Machine-readable output for scripting
iggy discover --country Ireland --jsonl
iggy prospect shopify.com --json

# Natural language
iggy ask "find companies in Germany with high purchase intent"

Add --json to most commands for machine-readable output, or --jsonl to discover for streaming / piping.

Notes

  • Browsing is free. discover and lookup don't cost credits. Credits are only used for deliberate actions (revealing/unlocking contact data).
  • Access is scoped to your org. You only see your organization's data; admin features depend on your role within your MarketSizer organization.
  • Credentials are stored locally in ~/.iggy/credentials.json.

Releasing (maintainers)

Published to npm via Trusted Publishing (OIDC) — no tokens, no secrets. The registry trusts this repo's .github/workflows/publish.yml (configured once on npmjs.com → the iggy-cli package → Trusted Publisher).

To cut a release:

  1. Bump the version in package.json (e.g. 0.1.0 → 0.1.1), commit, merge to master.
  2. Create a GitHub Release with a tag matching the version (e.g. v0.1.1).
  3. The Publish to npm workflow runs automatically and publishes the version in package.json, with build provenance.

(Or trigger it manually from the Actions tab → Publish to npm → Run workflow.)
