each expansion pack includes a combination of voices, drums, styles, backing, and accompaniment tracks all of which can be accessed directly from the style template. for example, the laptop style pack includes a mix of styles, instruments, and bass tracks from both the traditional indian style and the classical indian style. if you select the style, you will hear both the traditional and classical styles. 


there are a number of different styles available for the yamaha psr. you can choose from the following styles. to add a style to your keyboard simply load the style file in your sequencing software and press the buttons on your keyboard to activate the style. 


yamaha has designed the following styles for use on the psr - yamaha lyra kavita (india)  notes:  the lyra kavita style is one of the highest-pitched styles available on the psr. it is most commonly played on the keyboard’s upper note row. (suggested range: m2 – e3 – a3 – e4 – g5 – f6 – g6 – c7 – d7 – a4 – d5 – g5 – f6 – g6 – c7 – d7). the style is designed for fingerstyle playing. the upper range of the keyboard’s note range is covered with a fuller set of chords. although most musicians will prefer using electronic tunings, the lyra kavita style is often used in the absence of a good electronic tuning.  yamaha lyra kishore (india)  notes:  the lyra kishore style is one of the lowest-pitched styles available on the psr. it is most commonly played on the keyboard’s lower note row. (suggested range: a1 – g4 – b4 – d5 – e6 – f6 – g6 – c7 – d7 – a4 – d5 – g5 – f6 – g6 – c7 – d7). it is typically played with a drop-finger technique, with the softer chords in the lower range of the keyboard’s note range. 84d34552a1
