Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Quick Start

  1. Install Inteli-Packs:

    npm install -g inteli-packs
  2. Get your API key:

    # Copy the example file
    cp .env.example .env
       
    # Edit with your API keys
    nano .env
  4. Run the analysis:

    inteli-packs

Installation

Inteli-Packs requires Node.js version 16.0.0 or higher and npm version 8.0.0 or higher. Install it globally using npm:

bash npm install -g inteli-packs

Usage

After installation, you can use Inteli-Packs in your Node.js project directory:

Basic Analysis:

bash inteli-packs analyze This command performs a comprehensive analysis of your project's dependencies and provides a report.

Verbose Output:

bash inteli-packs analyze --verbose Use the --verbose flag for more detailed output.

Specific Analysis (e.g., security):

bash inteli-packs security This command focuses specifically on security aspects of your project. Other commands include inteli-packs testing, inteli-packs devops, etc. Run inteli-packs --help for a complete list of commands.

Initialization:

To initialize a new project with Inteli-Packs, run:

bash inteli-packs init This will create a basic project structure and configuration files.

API Documentation

While Inteli-Packs primarily functions as a CLI tool, its core functionality is modular and can be accessed programmatically. Detailed API documentation will be available in a future release.
