Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Control your Hailo Libero 3.0 smart bin opening system from ioBroker.

About Hailo Libero 3.0

The Hailo Libero 3.0 is an automatic, hands-free cabinet door opening system designed for waste bin cabinets. It uses a laser sensor to detect hand movement and automatically opens the cabinet door, providing a hygienic, touch-free solution for your kitchen.

This adapter allows you to integrate and control your Hailo Libero 3.0 device within ioBroker. Tested with firmware version 3.0.4

Features

  • Automatic device discovery and connection via local network
  • Control cabinet door opening remotely
  • LED brightness setting (1-10)
  • Adjustable sensor distance (31-100mm)
  • Adjustable ejection force (1-10)
  • Device status monitoring with configurable polling interval
  • Connection test directly from admin interface
  • Automatic reconnection if device becomes unavailable

Installation

  1. Install the adapter from the ioBroker admin interface
  2. Configure the device IP address, port, and password in the adapter settings
  3. Optionally adjust the polling interval for status updates

Configuration

Connection Settings

  • Device IP Address: The IP address of your Hailo Libero device (default: 192.168.4.1 when connected to device's WiFi access point)

  2. Local Network: Configure the device to connect to your local WiFi network and use the assigned IP address

Important Notes

  • API Reverse Engineering: Since Hailo does not provide official API documentation, this adapter uses reverse-engineered endpoints from the device's web interface. Some features may require adjustment based on your specific device firmware version.
  • Network Connectivity: Ensure your ioBroker host can reach the Hailo Libero device on your network
  • Firmware Compatibility: This adapter is designed for Hailo Libero 3.0. Compatibility with other versions is not guaranteed.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

  • Verify the device IP address and port in the adapter configuration
  • Check that your ioBroker host can ping the device
  • Ensure the device password is correct (default: hailo)
  • Check your network firewall settings
