Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

iphone-dimensions

Apple's published dimensions for every iPhone since the original in 2007: height, width, depth, weight, display, resolution and ppi, plus each model's hardware identifiers and A-numbers, with the Apple page linked on every row. JSON, CSV and an npm package.

It is the data behind iphonesize.com, which draws any two phones since the iPhone 7 next to each other at true scale. The 13 phones before that are in the data only. The table is also a web page at iphonesize.com/data.

| Phone | Released | Height | Width | Depth | Weight | Display | ppi | Apple source | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | iPhone Duo (closed) | 2026 | 117.8 mm | 84.1 mm | 11.3 mm | 254 g | 5.4 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone Duo (open) | 2026 | 117.8 mm | 164.6 mm | 5.2 mm | 254 g | 7.6 in | 430 | specs | | iPhone 18 Pro Max | 2026 | 163.4 mm | 78 mm | 8.75 mm | 249 g | 6.9 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 18 Pro | 2026 | 150 mm | 71.9 mm | 8.75 mm | 211 g | 6.3 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 17 Pro Max | 2025 | 163.4 mm | 78 mm | 8.75 mm | 233 g | 6.9 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 17 Pro | 2025 | 150 mm | 71.9 mm | 8.75 mm | 206 g | 6.3 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone Air | 2025 | 156.2 mm | 74.7 mm | 5.64 mm | 165 g | 6.5 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 17 | 2025 | 149.6 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.95 mm | 177 g | 6.3 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 17e | 2026 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.8 mm | 169 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 16 Pro Max | 2024 | 163 mm | 77.6 mm | 8.25 mm | 227 g | 6.9 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 16 Pro | 2024 | 149.6 mm | 71.5 mm | 8.25 mm | 199 g | 6.3 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 16 Plus | 2024 | 160.9 mm | 77.8 mm | 7.8 mm | 199 g | 6.7 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 16 | 2024 | 147.6 mm | 71.6 mm | 7.8 mm | 170 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 16e | 2025 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.8 mm | 167 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 15 Pro Max | 2023 | 159.9 mm | 76.7 mm | 8.25 mm | 221 g | 6.7 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 15 Pro | 2023 | 146.6 mm | 70.6 mm | 8.25 mm | 187 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 15 Plus | 2023 | 160.9 mm | 77.8 mm | 7.8 mm | 201 g | 6.7 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 15 | 2023 | 147.6 mm | 71.6 mm | 7.8 mm | 171 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 14 Pro Max | 2022 | 160.7 mm | 77.6 mm | 7.85 mm | 240 g | 6.7 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 14 Pro | 2022 | 147.5 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.85 mm | 206 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 14 Plus | 2022 | 160.8 mm | 78.1 mm | 7.8 mm | 203 g | 6.7 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 14 | 2022 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.8 mm | 172 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 13 Pro Max | 2021 | 160.8 mm | 78.1 mm | 7.65 mm | 240 g | 6.7 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 13 Pro | 2021 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.65 mm | 204 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 13 mini | 2021 | 131.5 mm | 64.2 mm | 7.65 mm | 141 g | 5.4 in | 476 | specs | | iPhone 13 | 2021 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.65 mm | 174 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone SE (3rd generation) | 2022 | 138.4 mm | 67.3 mm | 7.3 mm | 144 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 12 Pro Max | 2020 | 160.8 mm | 78.1 mm | 7.4 mm | 228 g | 6.7 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 12 Pro | 2020 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.4 mm | 189 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 12 mini | 2020 | 131.5 mm | 64.2 mm | 7.4 mm | 135 g | 5.4 in | 476 | specs | | iPhone 12 | 2020 | 146.7 mm | 71.5 mm | 7.4 mm | 164 g | 6.1 in | 460 | specs | | iPhone 11 Pro Max | 2019 | 158 mm | 77.8 mm | 8.1 mm | 226 g | 6.5 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 11 Pro | 2019 | 144 mm | 71.4 mm | 8.1 mm | 188 g | 5.8 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 11 | 2019 | 150.9 mm | 75.7 mm | 8.3 mm | 194 g | 6.1 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone SE (2nd generation) | 2020 | 138.4 mm | 67.3 mm | 7.3 mm | 148 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone XS Max | 2018 | 157.5 mm | 77.4 mm | 7.7 mm | 208 g | 6.5 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone XS | 2018 | 143.6 mm | 70.9 mm | 7.7 mm | 177 g | 5.8 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone XR | 2018 | 150.9 mm | 75.7 mm | 8.3 mm | 194 g | 6.1 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone X | 2017 | 143.6 mm | 70.9 mm | 7.7 mm | 174 g | 5.8 in | 458 | specs | | iPhone 8 Plus | 2017 | 158.4 mm | 78.1 mm | 7.5 mm | 202 g | 5.5 in | 401 | specs | | iPhone 8 | 2017 | 138.4 mm | 67.3 mm | 7.3 mm | 148 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 7 Plus | 2016 | 158.2 mm | 77.9 mm | 7.3 mm | 188 g | 5.5 in | 401 | specs | | iPhone 7 | 2016 | 138.3 mm | 67.1 mm | 7.1 mm | 138 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone | 2007 | 115 mm | 61 mm | 11.6 mm | 135 g | 3.5 in | 163 | specs | | iPhone 3G | 2008 | 115.5 mm | 62.1 mm | 12.3 mm | 133 g | 3.5 in | 163 | specs | | iPhone 3GS | 2009 | 115.5 mm | 62.1 mm | 12.3 mm | 135 g | 3.5 in | 163 | specs | | iPhone 4 | 2010 | 115.2 mm | 58.6 mm | 9.3 mm | 137 g | 3.5 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 4s | 2011 | 115.2 mm | 58.6 mm | 9.3 mm | 140 g | 3.5 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 5 | 2012 | 123.8 mm | 58.6 mm | 7.6 mm | 112 g | 4 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 5c | 2013 | 124.4 mm | 59.2 mm | 8.97 mm | 132 g | 4 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 5s | 2013 | 123.8 mm | 58.6 mm | 7.6 mm | 112 g | 4 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 6 | 2014 | 138.1 mm | 67 mm | 6.9 mm | 129 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 6 Plus | 2014 | 158.1 mm | 77.8 mm | 7.1 mm | 172 g | 5.5 in | 401 | specs | | iPhone 6s | 2015 | 138.3 mm | 67.1 mm | 7.1 mm | 143 g | 4.7 in | 326 | specs | | iPhone 6s Plus | 2015 | 158.2 mm | 77.9 mm | 7.3 mm | 192 g | 5.5 in | 401 | specs | | iPhone SE (1st generation) | 2016 | 123.8 mm | 58.6 mm | 7.6 mm | 113 g | 4 in | 326 | specs |

The folding iPhone Duo has two rows, closed and open, sharing one product_id.

Get the data

Straight from the site, with open CORS:

https://iphonesize.com/data/iphones.json
https://iphonesize.com/data/iphones.csv

From npm:

npm install iphone-dimensions
import { phones, getPhone, findPhones, getProduct, getByIdentifier, getByModelNumber } from 'iphone-dimensions';

getPhone('iphone-15-pro');
// { name: 'iPhone 15 Pro', height_mm: 146.6, width_mm: 70.6, depth_mm: 8.25, weight_g: 187, ppi: 460, ... }

findPhones('17 air'); // finds "iPhone Air", which many people call the 17 Air
getProduct('iphone-duo'); // both Duo rows, closed first
getByIdentifier('iPhone16,1');   // iPhone 15 Pro
getByModelNumber('A3101');       // iPhone 15 Pro

Works with import and require, in Node 18 or later, bundlers and browsers. No dependencies. The raw files are exported as iphone-dimensions/data/iphones.json and .csv.

Fields

| Field | Meaning | | --- | --- | | id | Stable slug for the row | | product_id | Same as id, except the Duo's two rows share one | | state | closed or open for the Duo, null for every other phone | | name | Apple's own marketing name | | also_known_as | Other names people use, such as "iPhone 17 Air" for the iPhone Air | | family | The generation the phone belongs to | | announced, released | ISO dates, from Apple Newsroom. released is first availability | | height_mm, width_mm, depth_mm, weight_g | As Apple publishes them | | height_in, width_in, depth_in, weight_oz | Calculated from the metric values, 2 decimals | | display_in | Apple's marketed display diagonal | | resolution_px, ppi | Pixels, and Apple's stated pixel density | | url | The phone's page on iphonesize.com, or null for the 13 phones older than the site covers | | model_identifiers | Apple's internal model strings, such as iPhone16,1 | | model_numbers | The A-numbers on the back or in Settings, all regional variants | | model_identifiers_source | apple when the identifier string comes from Apple's device database in Xcode, secondary when only The Apple Wiki has it (the original, 3G, 3GS, 4 and Duo). A-numbers are always from Apple | | source_url | The Apple tech-specs page the measurements were checked against | | dates_source_url | The Apple Newsroom page the dates were checked against |

Top-level verified is the date the measurements were last checked; notes carries the caveats below in machine-readable form.

Where the numbers come from

Measurements, display size, resolution and pixel density are Apple's, from the tech-specs page linked on each row. Dates are from Apple Newsroom, linked in the JSON. A-numbers are from Apple's Identify your iPhone model page. Nothing is measured or estimated by us.

The inch and ounce columns are converted from Apple's metric figures and can differ from Apple's own rounded numbers by 0.01. ppi is Apple's stated figure. Depth is the body without the camera bump.

Not for making cases or accessories. There are no tolerances, button positions or camera keep-outs here. Apple publishes dimensional drawings for that.

Updates

data/ is pulled from the iphonesize.com build by npm run sync and dist/ is built from it, so please do not edit either by hand. Wrong number? Open an issue with the Apple page and it gets fixed at the source. Patch releases fix facts, minor releases add phones or fields, major releases change or remove a field.
