jetformat
Local Office-to-PDF and PDF tools. Convert Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on your machine without installing a desktop office suite.
npm install -g jetformat
# or
brew install jetformat/tap/jetformat
jetformat ppt to-pdf slides.pptx -o slides.pdfRun it once without installing:
npx jetformat --versionnpm installs only the binary for your platform (macOS, Linux, Windows on
x64 or arm64) through the @jetformat/<platform> optional packages. Nothing
is downloaded at install time, so it works with --ignore-scripts, pnpm,
and Bun.

Publishing
This repository is the npm publish pipeline. The conversion engine stays in
the private jetformat-tool repo. Binaries come from GitHub Releases
(currently jetformat/homebrew-tap) and are published as jetformat plus
the @jetformat/<platform> packages.
After a release exists with jetformat_<version>_* assets:
gh workflow run publish-npm.yml -R jetformat/jetformat-publish -f version=0.1.7The workflow sets the version on all packages, downloads the archives, stages them, runs the tests, and publishes. Versions already on npm are skipped, so a failed run can be rerun.
It uses npm Trusted Publishing, so there is no npm token. Every package
trusts this repo and publish-npm.yml. A new platform package needs the
same link, from an npm owner with 2FA:
npm trust github @jetformat/<platform> --repo jetformat/jetformat-publish --file publish-npm.ymlA brand-new package must be published once by hand before it can be
trusted: npm login, then ./scripts/publish.sh.
