Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Install Agent Skills into KaiwuChat (.kaiwuchat/skills/) — compatible with skills.sh ecosystem

Readme

kaiwu-skills

npm version CI License: MIT

CLI to install Agent Skills into KaiwuChat at .kaiwuchat/skills/.

Compatible with source formats from the skills.sh ecosystem.

Install & use

No global install required:

# From skills.sh / GitHub
npx kaiwu-skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills --skill code-review -g -y

# From a local skill directory
npx kaiwu-skills add ./my-skill -y

# List installed skills
npx kaiwu-skills list

After installing, open KaiwuChat → Settings → Agent Skills → 重新扫描, or restart the app.

Where files go

| Scope | Flag | Path | |-------|------|------| | Project | (default) | {cwd}/.kaiwuchat/skills/ | | Global | -g | ~/.kaiwuchat/skills/ |

Project skills override global skills with the same name.

KaiwuChat does not read .cursor/skills/ — skills must live under .kaiwuchat/skills/.

Commands

| Command | Description | |---------|-------------| | add <source> | Install from GitHub shorthand, URL, or local path | | list | List installed skills | | remove <name> | Remove skill directories (-y required) | | init [name] | Scaffold a new SKILL.md | | find [query] | Search skills.sh via npx skills find |

Source formats

npx kaiwu-skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills
npx kaiwu-skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills@code-review
npx kaiwu-skills add https://github.com/vercel-labs/agent-skills
npx kaiwu-skills add ./my-local-skill
npx kaiwu-skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills --list

Relation to npx skills

The official skills CLI does not yet ship a kaiwuchat agent. This package writes directly to .kaiwuchat/skills/.

When upstream adds KaiwuChat support, opt in with:

export KAIWU_SKILLS_USE_NPX=1
npx kaiwu-skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills -g -y

Proposed upstream mapping: upstream/kaiwuchat-agent.json.

Development

git clone https://github.com/isaacwu666/kaiwu-skills.git
cd kaiwu-skills
npm test
node bin/kaiwu-skills.js --help

Publish

Maintainers: create a GitHub Release (or run the Publish workflow manually). Requires repository secret NPM_TOKEN.

npm login
npm publish --access public
