Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Kap plugin - Share on Backblaze B2

Install

In the Kap menu, go to Preferences…, select the Plugins pane, find this plugin, and click Install.

Usage

  1. Configure your B2 credentials by clicking the gear icon next to the plugin
  2. After recording, select an export format and click Share to Backblaze B2
  3. The public URL is copied to your clipboard

Configuration

| Setting | Description | |---------|-------------| | Application Key ID | Your B2 application key ID | | Application Key | Your B2 application key secret | | Region | Your bucket's region (e.g., us-west-004, eu-central-003) | | Bucket Name | Your B2 bucket name | | Directory | Optional subfolder path | | Custom Public URL | Optional custom domain (leave empty for native B2 URL) | | Add Timestamp to Filename | Prefix filenames with timestamp to avoid overwrites |

Native B2 URLs

If you don't set a custom public URL, files are accessible via B2's native friendly URL format:

https://f004.backblazeb2.com/file/{bucket-name}/{filename}
