Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

kiss-vuex

codecov

One powerful library for using vuex more easily followed KISS principle, fast and tiny, the minified js file is just 3KB (1KB Gzipped)!

Installation

$ npm i -S kiss-vuex

Please ensure that you have installed vue and vuex firstly, because kiss-vuex is dependent on them.

Usage

kiss-vuex supports the easiest way to create vuex's store. It just exports one function named "Store" and you can use it like below:

@Store

As a decorator, you just need to add it above the class statement.

import { Store } from "kiss-vuex";

@Store
class AppStore {
    counter = 0;
    timeStamps = [];
    info = {
        counter: 0
    };
}

const appStore = new AppStore();

export { AppStore, appStore };

Note: You have to add plugins for supporting decorator usage to your babel.config.js or set compilerOptions.experimentalDecorators property true in the tsconfig.json file.

Use with babel

You have to install such below development dependencies firstly.

$ npm i -D @babel/plugin-proposal-decorators @babel/plugin-proposal-class-properties

Then add such plugins to the .babelrc.js , .babelrc or babel.config.js file.

module.exports = {
    plugins: [
        ["@babel/plugin-proposal-decorators", { legacy: true }],
        ["@babel/plugin-proposal-class-properties", { loose: false }]
    ],
    presets: [
        [
            "@babel/env",
            {
                modules: false
            }
        ]
    ]
};

Use with typescript

Set the property compilerOptions.experimentalDecorators true in the tsconfig.json file.

{
    "compilerOptions": {
        "experimentalDecorators": true
    }
}

Import the store in the place where you want to use it.

import { appStore } from "./appStore";
import Vue from "vue";

export default Vue.component("app-opr", {
    computed: {
        counter() {
            return appStore.counter;
        },
        timeStamps() {
            return JSON.stringify(appStore.timeStamps);
        },
        timeInfo() {
            return JSON.stringify(appStore.info);
        }
    },
    template: `
  	<div>
        <strong>Operate Area</strong>
        <div><button @click="doClick()">Click me</button></div>
        <div>
    	<strong>Show Area</strong>
            <p>Click times: {{counter}}</p>
            <p>Timestamps: {{timeStamps}}</p>
            <p>timeInfo: {{timeInfo}}</p>
        </div>
    </div>
  `,
    methods: {
        doClick() {
            appStore.counter++;
            appStore.timeStamps.push(new Date());
            appStore.info.counter++;
            appStore.info[appStore.counter] = date.valueOf();
        }
    }
});

Store

As a common function, you can just pass object to it.

import { Store } from 'kiss-vuex';

const appStore = Store({
    counter = 0,
    timeStamps = []
});

export {
    appStore
}

Then you can import the store in the place where you want to use it like above.

There are online examples you can also take a look at.

Enjoy using it and have fun :)
