Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Kousta Node CLI

Kousta Node CLI is a command-line tool designed to bootstrap Node.js API projects quickly and efficiently. It supports creating new projects with different database options and adding authentication features.

Installation

To install Kousta Node CLI globally, run:

npm install -g kousta-cli

Usage

The CLI provides various commands to create projects and resources. Below are the available commands and their usage.

General Usage

kousta-cli [command] [options]

Create Project

Creates a new Node.js API project with specified options.

kousta-cli create-project [project-name] [options]
  • Options
    • db, --database : Add database support. Supported values are mongodb and mysql. Default is mongodb.
    • auth, --authentication: Add authentication support.

Examples

kousta-cli create-project my-project -db mongodb -auth kousta-cli create-project another-project --database mysql

Make Resource

Creates a new resource in the project.

kousta-cli make:resource  [resource-name]

Help Command

Display help information about the CLI and its commands.

kousta-cli --help

Version Command

Display the version of the CLI.

kousta-cli --version
