Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

CLI Weather App 🌤️

A simple but powerful command-line weather app built with Node.js.

Install

git clone https://github.com/KunalTiwari-git/cli-weather-app.git
cd cli-weather-app
npm install

Setup

  1. Get a free API key from openweathermap.org
  2. Create a .env file in the root folder: WEATHER_API_KEY=your_key_here

Usage

Current Weather

node weather.js <city>
node weather.js London
node weather.js London Mumbai Tokyo

Fahrenheit

node weather.js London --fahrenheit

5-Day Forecast

node weather.js London --forecast
node weather.js London --forecast --fahrenheit

Favourite Cities

# Add a city to favourites
node weather.js --add-favourite London

# Show weather for all favourites
node weather.js --favourites

# Remove a city from favourites
node weather.js --remove-favourite London
