Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

the word kundli is used to describe the pattern of the 12 pieces of our horoscope. the pieces of horoscope are made out of the planets that revolve around the sun, moon, the earth and the stars in the solar system. each piece of our horoscope is a lotus, the shape of which are different based on the position and degree of the planets in our horoscope at the time of birth.

the most common 12-hour variation is the jyotish chart. traditionally, the horoscope and its interpretation were sent to friends and relatives as a wish for the welfare of the person concerned. decoding the meaning of the horoscope could be made by a professional jyotish astrologer if the recipient of the horoscope did not know the language of jyotish. such jyotish astrologers usually came to the house of a person for consultation. such jyotish astrology is now termed as ‘online’ jyotish astrology.

the name kundali is a combination of ‘kundal’ and ‘yantra’. the word ‘kundal’ means beautiful, whereas ‘yantra’ means wheel like. it is these two words kundali that gave birth to the idea of a lotus pattern that comes out of the kundali. there are two ‘kundalis’. one is the horoscope prepared in the vedic system and the other is the horoscope prepared in the modern western system.

the vedic system is used worldwide and is discussed in the book ‘panchkarshan’. in vedic system the planets are placed on the delicate lotus flower that has five petals and is placed on a triangle. this complex picture is called the shilaputram (five lotus flower). the vedic system also has the navamsa, where the planets are placed in the various stations of the navamsa. modern jyotish has the same elements but a different order and placement. 84d34552a1
