Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Installation

npm or npx Install the CLI globally using npm:

npm install -g latest-react-cli

npm view latest-react-cli version

Usage

1. Create a React Project

latest-react-cli create-project <projectname>
  • Scaffolds a new React project with TypeScript and Jest.
  • Example:
    latest-react-cli create-project my-app

2. Create a Component

latest-react-cli create-component <componentname>
  • Generates a new React component with TypeScript and a corresponding test file.
  • Example:
    latest-react-cli create-component MyComponent

3. Create a Hook

latest-react-cli create-hook <hookname>
  • Creates a custom React hook with boilerplate code.
  • Example:
    latest-react-cli create-hook useCustomHook

Project Structure

  • bin/cli.js: The main CLI script.
  • src/: Contains the generated files for components and hooks.
    • components/: Directory for React components.
    • hooks/: Directory for custom hooks.
