leadstrategist

Command-line access to Danish company data (CVR) and structured annual-report financials from Lead Strategist. Look up any company by CVR number, search by name, industry, size or revenue, and pull financial history, from your terminal or scripts.

• Read-only. The CLI only reads data. It can't change anything in the data or your account.
• Around 948,000 Danish companies; annual-report figures (revenue, gross profit, EBIT, net income, equity, assets, employees) for around 460,000 of them.
• No dependencies. Node.js 20 or newer.

Get an API key (free trial)

1. Sign up at https://leadstrategist.dk/login?mode=signup and confirm your email.
2. Under Konto / Account, create an API key (ls_live_...).

New accounts get a one-off free 14-day trial with 2,000 credits (as of 1 Oct 2026; the current numbers are always on https://leadstrategist.dk/en/pricing). Once card payments are open, a payment card is required to start the trial: you add it under Konto / Account (0 kr is charged), the 14 days start that day, and if you cancel before day 14 ends, nothing is charged; otherwise it continues as the plan you chose. Until payments open, no card is needed and the 14 days start at your first successful call. Every successful lookup costs 1 credit. Failed lookups (errors, unknown CVR) cost nothing. The trial is shared with the Lead Strategist MCP server and REST API, and there is one trial per company email domain. whoami, health and login are not metered. There is no lasting free plan. After the trial, you need prepaid credits or a plan (see https://leadstrategist.dk/priser; payments are not open yet). whoami shows your own limit.

The key is saved with file mode 600 in ~/.config/leadstrategist/config.json (Linux), ~/Library/Application Support/leadstrategist/config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\leadstrategist\config.json (Windows). In CI, set LEADSTRATEGIST_API_KEY instead.

Search leaves out companies with reklamebeskyttelse (Danish marketing protection) unless you pass --include-protected. Protected companies are always flagged and must not be contacted for marketing.

Search filters: --name, --industry-code, --industry, --status, --min-employees, --max-employees, --min-revenue, --max-revenue (DKK), --municipality (kommune name or code, e.g. Aarhus or 751), --city (postal town prefix or postnummer, e.g. 8000), --region, --include-protected, --limit (1–50), --offset. Global options: --json, --key, --api-url / --base-url, -h/--help, -v/--version.

Environment variables: LEADSTRATEGIST_API_KEY, LEADSTRATEGIST_API_URL (default https://leadstrategist.dk/api/v1; a bare https://leadstrategist.dk works too), LEADSTRATEGIST_CONFIG_DIR.

Exit codes: 0 ok · 1 error · 2 usage error · 3 missing/invalid key · 4 trial/quota used up · 5 not found.
