Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.1.3

Published

A terminal client for turning GitHub repositories into LinkedIn post drafts with a remote Eve agent.

LinkedIn Repo Storyteller CLI

A small terminal client for the LinkedIn Repo Storyteller Eve agent. It runs on your computer, securely prompts for your Vercel AI Gateway API key and a public GitHub repository URL, then sends them to the agent hosted on Vercel.

When the analysis completes, the CLI saves the generated Markdown draft in the user's Desktop folder. On Windows, it checks the standard Desktop folder and common OneDrive Desktop locations.

Requirements

  • Node.js 24 or later
  • Internet access

Run without installing

npx linkedin-repo-storyteller-cli

Or install it globally:

npm install --global linkedin-repo-storyteller-cli
linkedin-repo-storyteller-cli

The CLI connects to https://linkedin-agent-ivory.vercel.app by default. Set LINKEDIN_AGENT_URL to use another Eve deployment:

LINKEDIN_AGENT_URL=https://your-agent.vercel.app npx linkedin-repo-storyteller-cli

The URL must point to an Eve deployment configured for this CLI and with EVE_GATEWAY_KEY_ENCRYPTION_SECRET set. The CLI asks for your Vercel AI Gateway API key every time it runs, masks the input, and does not save it on your computer. The key is sent to the deployment over HTTPS and encrypted before it is stored in Eve session auth metadata. Model usage is billed to the Gateway account associated with the key.

To analyze the default branch, enter the repository URL. To analyze a specific branch, enter the GitHub branch URL. Branch names containing slashes are supported:

https://github.com/owner/repo
https://github.com/owner/repo/tree/feature/my-branch

The key is required to run an analysis. Get one from your Vercel AI Gateway settings. Do not share it with anyone.
