Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

LLM-TXT CLI

🤖 Install company-specific MCP servers for Cursor IDE with one command

Quick Start

# Install for your company
npx llmtxt-cli acme-corp

# Interactive installation
npx llmtxt-cli

What is this?

The LLM-TXT CLI helps developers install company-specific MCP (Modular Code Plugin) servers for Cursor IDE. It:

  • 📥 Fetches MCP server templates from your API
  • 📁 Creates the proper directory structure (~/.mcp/<company>/src/)
  • ⚙️ Optionally updates your Cursor IDE configuration
  • 🚀 Gets you up and running in seconds

Installation

Using npx (Recommended)

npx llmtxt-cli <company-name>

Global Installation

npm install -g llmtxt-cli
llmtxt-cli <company-name>

Usage

Basic Usage

# Install MCP server for a specific company
npx llmtxt-cli acme-corp

# Interactive mode (asks for company name)
npx llmtxt-cli

Options

| Option | Description | |--------|-------------| | -y, --yes | Skip confirmation prompts and use defaults | | --no-cursor | Don't add to Cursor IDE config | | --cursor | Add to Cursor IDE config (default) | | -v, --version | Show version number | | -h, --help | Show help information |

Examples

# Install with all prompts
npx llmtxt-cli acme-corp

# Install without prompts (use defaults)
npx llmtxt-cli acme-corp --yes

# Install but don't update Cursor config
npx llmtxt-cli acme-corp --no-cursor

# Interactive installation
npx llmtxt-cli

What happens when you run it?

  1. Fetches Template: Downloads the MCP server code from https://llmstxt.com/api/mcp/<company>
  2. Creates Directory: Sets up ~/.mcp/<company>/src/ directory structure
  3. Writes Server File: Creates index.js (or specified filename) with the server code
  4. Updates Cursor Config: Optionally adds the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.config.json
  5. Shows Next Steps: Displays the command to run your MCP server

Directory Structure

After installation:

~/.mcp/
└── <company>/
    └── src/
        └── index.js    # Your MCP server
~/.cursor/
└── mcp.config.json # Cursor IDE configuration (if enabled)

Cursor IDE Integration

The CLI can automatically update your Cursor IDE configuration to register the MCP server:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "acme-corp": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/home/user/.mcp/acme-corp/src/index.js"]
    }
  }
}

Troubleshooting
