Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Base chart for lotivis.js.

Installing

If you use npm, npm install lotivis-chart. You can also download the latest realease on GitHub. For using in browsers, you can load the UMD bundle from an npm-based CDN such as jsDelivr.

API Reference

Chart

chart.id()

Returns the charts id.

chart.dataController(_)

Gets or sets the data controller.

chart.margin(_)

Gets or sets a margins object of the chart.

chart.skipFilterUpdate(filter, action, item)

Returns whether this chart should rerender for a change of the specified filter. Default implementation returns false.

chart.dataView()

Calculates and returns the data view for a bar chart from the passed data controller.

chart.clear(container, calc, dataView)

Clears the content of the passed container. May be overriden by extending charts. Default implementation selects and removes everything ("*") from the conainter.

chart.render(container, calc, dataView)

Renders the chart in the passed container. Should be overriden by extending charts. Default implementation does nothing and only returns the chart itself.

chart.run()

Runs the render chain. For each selected element by the selector of the chart.

The lotivis config is available through the config field of lotivs.
