Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

markdownlint-obsidian-cli

Command-line interface for linting Obsidian Flavored Markdown. Wraps the markdownlint-obsidian library with a commander-based CLI.

Install

# Global install
npm install -g markdownlint-obsidian-cli
bun add -g markdownlint-obsidian-cli

# Project install (use via npx / bunx)
npm install -D markdownlint-obsidian-cli

Consumers can run the published CLI under Node.js 20+ or Bun 1.1+.

Usage

# One-off run without installing globally
npx markdownlint-obsidian-cli "**/*.md"

# After a global or local install, invoke the published binary directly
markdownlint-obsidian "**/*.md"

# Fix auto-fixable issues in place
markdownlint-obsidian --fix "**/*.md"

# Check what would be fixed (no writes)
markdownlint-obsidian --fix-check "**/*.md"

# Machine-readable output
markdownlint-obsidian --output-formatter sarif "**/*.md" > report.sarif
markdownlint-obsidian --output-formatter junit "**/*.md" > junit.xml

# Custom config location
markdownlint-obsidian --config /path/to/project "**/*.md"

Supported runtime flags

| Flag | Description | | --- | --- | | --config <path> | Load .obsidian-linter.jsonc from an explicit directory or file path | | --fix | Apply auto-fixable edits in place | | --fix-check | Dry-run fix mode; report what would change without writing | | --vault-root <path> | Override auto-detected vault root | | --no-resolve | Disable vault-wide wikilink and embed resolution | | --output-formatter <name> | Select default, json, junit, or sarif output |

If you omit glob arguments, the CLI falls back to the configured globs property from .obsidian-linter.jsonc.

Exit codes

| Code | Meaning | | --- | --- | | 0 | Clean (no errors; warnings do not raise exit code) | | 1 | One or more lint errors found | | 2 | Tool or configuration failure |

Programmatic API

The package export keeps the binary entrypoint available as main(argv) and also exposes runCli(argv, { cwd }) for adapters that need structured counts and captured output without scraping process streams.

Developing in this monorepo

bun install
cd packages/cli
bun test
bun run build

See src/README.md for the thin wrapper layout and ../../docs/guides/ci-integration.md for pipeline recipes.
