Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Build Status Maintainability

Please use the website https://gouldi.wmflabs.org to make changes to the data.

notes on deployment

  • log in to the server (e.g., drmf-beta)
  • run
sudo useradd gouldi
sudo mkdir /srv/gouldi
sudo chown gouldi /srv/gouldi
sudo su gouldi
mkdir "${HOME}/.npm-packages"
echo "prefix=${HOME}/.npm-packages" > ~/.npmrc
vi .bashrc
  • Allow gouldi to restart apache

use visudo to add the following config

username ALL = NOPASSWD: /etc/init.d/apache2 
  • type Gi to reach the end of the file and switch vi to insert mode and paste the following block
NPM_PACKAGES="${HOME}/.npm-packages"

PATH="$NPM_PACKAGES/bin:$PATH"

# Unset manpath so we can inherit from /etc/manpath via the `manpath` command
unset MANPATH # delete if you already modified MANPATH elsewhere in your config
export MANPATH="$NPM_PACKAGES/share/man:$(manpath)"
  • run
npm i -g pm2
git clone https://github.com/ag-gipp/GoUldI

pm2 deploy ecosystem.json production setup
  • update
sudo su gouldi
