Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

mc-launcher

JavaScript based (NodeJS) Minecraft launcher. Currently only Linux systems are supported.

Preparation

List versions

List all Minecraft versions.

node launcher.js list [--count=N] [--snaps]

--count - output only N last versions. --snaps - output development versions as well.

Assemble minecraft version

Download all dependencies required by given Minecraft version

node launcher.js make --id=VERSION

--id - selected Minecraft version.

Authenticate user

Authenticate user on current computer.

node launcher.js login --name=ACCOUNT --pass=PASSWORD

--name - user account name. --pass - user password.

Generate launch script

Generate start.sh at root directory.

node launcher.js start --id=VERSION --user=USERNAME

--id - selected minecraft version. --user - start as selected user.

Generate server script

Download server jar and generate server.sh launch script.

node launcher.js server --id=VERSION

--id - selected minecraft version.

Start game

After all preparation have been done we can simply launch ./start.sh script.
