Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Markdownify MCP Server

Markdownify is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that converts various file types and web content to Markdown format. It provides a set of tools to transform PDFs, images, audio files, web pages, and more into easily readable and shareable Markdown text.

Getting Started

Python 3.11 with uv and Node.js 18.x or higher are required to run this server.

  • Node.js 18.x or higher
  • Python 3.11 or higher
install

# run
npx -y mcp-markdownify-server-url

Development

  • Use pnpm run dev to start the TypeScript compiler in watch mode
  • Modify src/server.ts to customize server behavior
  • Add or modify tools in src/tools.ts

Usage with Desktop App

To integrate this server with a desktop app, add the following to your app's server configuration:
