Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

miadi

A software factory for producing relational movies.

Miadi files its work in episodes. An episode keeps the question the work started from, the trace of each agent session, the evidence captured while working, the criteria the work is held to, and a person's judgment of it, so agent-made work can be inspected and revisited. The same record supplies story forms: episodes become stories and, in time, films about how the software and its relations were made.

This package installs the family in one command. It holds no code.

npm i -g miadi

The packages, by what they do in the factory

| part | packages | |---|---| | A person's judgment — mark, answer and sign off on agent work | @miadi/annotate-core, @miadi/annotate-ui, @miadi/attention-core, @miadi/attention-ui | | Steering agents — see and direct agents running in terminals | @miadi/tide, @miadi/tide-contract, @miadi/hermes-conductor, @miadi/a2a-contracts | | Session trace — what agents did, kept as events and plans | @miadi/hooks-core, @miadi/hooks-interpreter, @miadi/hooks-gateway, @miadi/hooks-artifact-composer, @miadi/plan-insight, @miadi/webweave | | Evidence capture — recordings and transcripts from a working session | @miadi/capture, @miadi/capture-client, @miadi/capture-service, @miadi/capture-ui, @miadi/episode-capture, @miadi/transcription | | Voice — spoken output, tied to episodes | @miadi/voice, @miadi/voice-client, @miadi/voice-mcp | | Question and relation — link inquiries, issues and episodes; turn episodes into stories | @miadi/inquiry-weave, passages, @miadi/musical-composition-to-episode | | Criteria and grounding — specifications, goals and research the work is held to | @miadi/rispecs-builder, @miadi/foundations, @miadi/stcbots | | Reading the chronicle — browse, search and open episodes from a terminal, and take part in talking circles (miadi-chronicle) | @miadi/chronicle-tui | | Episode record — the episode folder and the format everything is filed under | @miadi/episodic-memory-schema, @miadi/episode-vessel, @miadi/episode-ui | | Narrative models — two peer story models and the bridge between them | @miadi/ncp-story-studio, @miadi/wampum-narrative-engine, @miadi/ncp-wampum-bridge, @miadi/foundations-wampum-narrative-engine | | Studio — music notation, playback, movement and sound | @miadi/ava8, @miadi/ava8-core, @miadi/ava8-abcjs, @miadi/ava8-react, @miadi/ava8-atelier, @miadi/ava8-measure, @miadi/musical-composition, @miadi/movement-conductor, @miadi/osc, @miadi/termux-motion, @miadi/songbird, @miadi/songbird-ui | | Service runtime — shared primitives for small Node services | @miadi/node-service-kit |

npm i -g miadi installs most of these. It does not install the annotator, the episode UI, the narrative models or @miadi/stcbots: add those to an application directly. The episode vessel arrives with the terminal browser, which reads through it.

Each package's README says what it does, where it sits, and what it works with.
