Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

A Typescript compiler for Mimosa

Readme

mimosa-typescript

Overview

This is a Typescript compiler for the Mimosa build tool.

For more information regarding Mimosa, see http://mimosa.io

Usage

Add 'typescript' to your list of modules. That's all! Mimosa will install the module for you when you start mimosa watch or mimosa build.

This module works best with Mimosa 2.3.8 or above.

Functionality

This module will compile Typescript files during mimosa watch and mimosa build.

Default Config

typescript: {
  extensions: ["ts"],
  compileVendorDefinitionFiles: false,
  sourceMapDynamic: true,
  sourceMapExclude: [/\/specs?\//, /_spec.js$/],
  sourceMapConditional: false,
  options: {
    codeGenTarget: 1,
    moduleGenTarget: 2,
    mapSourceFiles: true
  }
}
  • extensions an array of strings, the extensions of your Tyepscript files.
  • compileVendorDefinitionFiles: a boolean, whether or not you want the typescript compiler to compile vendor .d.ts files. Uses vendor configuration and the .d.ts extension to make determination if file is vendor file. Not compiling vendor definition files can save quite a bit of compile time. NOTE: To use this feature you need to have Mimosa 2.3.8+ installed.
  • sourceMapDynamic: a boolean, whether or not to use Dynamic source maps. Dynamic source maps require no extra network hops to retrieve the original source or the map files. They are also a necessity for tools like browserify.
  • sourceMapExclude: an array of strings and regexes. A list of files or patterns matching files to exclude from source map generation. Strings are paths and can be either absolute or relative to config.watch.javascriptDir.
  • sourceMapConditional: a boolean, whether or not to use conditional source maps. See this thread for details.
  • options.codeGenTarget: a number, ECMAScript version code is compiled to: 0 = ES3, 1 = ES5
  • options.moduleGenTarget: a number, How the compiled output is wrapped: 0 = None, 1 = commonjs, 2 = AMD
  • options.mapSourceFiles: a boolean, whether or not to generate source maps. Source maps are automatically disabled for mimosa build.
