Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

minecraft-icons-react

v0.1.1

Published

A library of Minecraft item icons as React components.

Readme

minecraft-icons-react ⛏️

NPM Version

A collection of 708 high-quality, scalable Minecraft icons (primarily blocks and items) available as easy-to-use React components.

Based on SVG, these icons are crisp at any size and can be styled with standard CSS or inline styles. All props are passed directly to the underlying SVG element using {...props}, giving you complete control over appearance and behavior.

Features

  • 708 Icons: Covers a wide range of blocks and items initially. (See Future Plans!)
  • Scalable SVGs: Looks great at any size, perfect for responsive designs.
  • React Components: Simple integration into your React projects.
  • Fully Customizable: Pass any SVG props (className, style, width, height, onClick, etc.) directly to the icon components.
  • Tree-shakeable: Only the icons you import will be included in your final bundle (if your bundler supports tree-shaking, like Webpack or Rollup).

Installation

# Using npm
npm install minecraft-icons-react

# Using yarn
yarn add minecraft-icons-react

Usage

Import the specific icons you need and use them like any other React component. With the actual PascalCase name of the Minecraft item/block you want to use (e.g., DiamondSword, CraftingTable, IronIngot).

import React from 'react';
import { IronIngot } from 'minecraft-icons-react';

function MyComponent() {
  return (
    <div>
        <IronIngot width="32" height="32" />
    </div>
  );
}

export default MyComponent;

Future Plans

I plan to expand the icon set in the future! Contributions are welcome.

  • [ ] Add Mob Icons (e.g., [Creeper], [Zombie], [Villager])
  • [ ] Add UI Element Icons (e.g., [Heart], [Armor], [Hunger], [ExperienceOrb])
  • [ ] Explore possibilities of animated icons

Contributing

Contributions are welcome, especially for expanding the icon set (see Future Plans)! Please feel free to submit a pull request or open an issue for bugs, feature requests, or icon additions.
