Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

📝 Miraya Type Definition

This Repository is used to share the Typescript DTOs and schemas between Front- and Backend

➕ Add Type

  1. Create File in ./src Directory
  2. Import File in index.ts with export * from "./src/<object>.dto";

📦 Release

  1. Update Changelog
  2. Update Compatibility Table below
  3. Do Final Commit
  4. Update Version in NPM Package.json by
  • manually edit the package.json
  • Patch = npm version patch
  • Minor = npm version minor
  • Major = npm version major
  1. Upload your Release by
  • npm run publish

📊 Versioning

Always make shure to use fixed Version of the types in Front- and Backend.

Compatibility Table

| Type Version | Frontend Version | Backend Version | | :----------: | :--------------: | :-------------: | | ✅2.0.7 | ✅ 2.0.0 | ✅ 2.0.4 |

✨ Command Overview

| Command | Description | | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | npm run build | Creates Input File | | npm run publish | Creates Input File & Publish NPM | | npm run build:backend | Build Dirty for backend | | npm run build:web | Build Dirty for web | | npm run watch:backend | Watch for changes and Build Dirty for backend | | npm run watch:web | Watch for changes and Build Dirty for web | | npm run git:clean | Checks for existing Online Branches and deletes local if not exist |

💩 Build Dirty

This process was made to make development easier and to share the types between backend and frontend during development. It manually copies the files to node_modules as npm would do during an update. You can even watch for changes and let nodemon do this automatically every time you change something.

Requirements

  • The miraya-types repository must be in the same directory as miraya-backend and miraya-web.
.
├── miraya-backend/
├── miraya-types/
├── miraya-web/
.

Caution

  • Intended for development purposes and easy handling only
  • This bypasses all processes of the NPM update mechanism
  • NPM install will overwrite everything again with the version specified in the package
