Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

the mass (or liturgy of the word) is the centerpiece of the liturgical year. while the latin mass consists of a number of different sections (prayer of the faithful, gloria, collect, alleluia, offertory, sanctus, and agnus dei), the readings and the homily are the same for every mass. the readings are taken from the liturgy of the word (called the lectionary) found in all catholic missals. the traditional roman missal, in both the latin and the vernacular, is the source of these readings. the complete liturgy of the word is published in the new current version of the roman missal.

imissal, whose name stands for intermedia missal, is an incredibly well-designed application that makes the reading of the mass much easier. it contains several different sections that can be organized in any way desired. for example, you can change the text to english for those who have the ability to do so. you can also insert the readings into the text of the missal from which they came. some people read the lectionary with the latin text, some with the english, some with a combination of the two. whatever your method, imissal makes the process much easier. but that is only one of the many features of this app.

when it comes to the mass, the readings are the most important part of the mass, so you might as well get the best for your money. the imissal app (available for iphone, ipad, and ipod touch) is the only app for the iphone that has all of the readings in the traditional roman missal, plus music, and even a liturgical calendar, which allows you to quickly find the date for each sunday. using the app, you can read the readings from the lectionary, as well as the homily, and follow the readings with the music. 84d34552a1
