Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MobileUI-OS v1.0

A portable agentic UI/UX quality system for premium mobile applications.

Install via npx (skill-npx pkg)

No clone required. Run directly in any project:

# Install all 26 skills + adapters for all platforms
npx mobileui-os init

# Only for specific platforms
npx mobileui-os init --platforms claude,opencode

# Install into another directory
npx mobileui-os init ./my-app --platforms cursor

# Add a single skill
npx mobileui-os add ui-architect

# List available skills
npx mobileui-os list
npx mobileui-os list --json

Via npm exec / npx from local checkout:

npm exec --package "C:\path\to\MobileUI-OS-v1" -- mobileui-os init
npx --package mobileui-os mobileui-os --help

After publish, consumers can also run npx mobileui-os@latest init. The package ships the canonical skills/*/SKILL.md, templates/, knowledge/, principles/, workflows/ and generates the Agent Skills manifest skills/skills.json plus per-platform wrappers (.claude/skills/, .opencode/skills/, .cursor/skills/, .codex/skills/, .gemini/skills/).

Short alias is also available: npx mobileui init.

Platform compatibility

Skills ship in the Agent Skills format (skills/<name>/SKILL.md) and are auto-discovered by major agentic platforms through adapter directories committed at the repo root. Each adapter is a thin SKILL.md wrapper that points to the canonical skill file, so there is a single source of truth.

| Platform | Skill directory | Notes | |----------|-----------------|-------| | Claude Code | .claude/skills/ | Also auto-loaded by opencode from ~/.claude/skills/ | | opencode | .opencode/skills/ | Same layout works under .opencode/skill/ | | Cursor | .cursor/skills/ | — | | OpenAI Codex | .codex/skills/ | — | | Gemini CLI | .gemini/skills/ | — | | Any Agent Skills consumer | skills/ + skills/skills.json | Standard manifest with instructions paths |

Regenerate or add platform adapters with:

pwsh scripts/sync-platform-adapters.ps1

Canonical skills stay in skills/; never edit the generated wrappers directly.

Mission

Combine platform-aware design guidance, UX reasoning, design-system discipline, accessibility, motion, implementation rules, and visual/UX auditing into a reusable skill layer.

Primary target

React Native + Expo + TypeScript, while keeping the principles framework-independent.

Quality target

Apple-level UX discipline + Material systemization + modern premium product design + React Native/Expo engineering discipline.

Core loop

REQUEST → ANALYZE → PLAN → DESIGN → IMPLEMENT → INSPECT → AUDIT → FIX → RE-AUDIT → SHIP

Source hierarchy

  1. Official platform guidance
  2. Project design system
  3. Product-specific UX decisions
  4. Established interaction patterns
  5. Inspiration/reference material

Never copy a visual style blindly. Extract the underlying design principle.
