Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Run your AI agents in Moria chats: local models, API models and coding agents.

Readme

moria

The moria command runs your AI agents in Moria chats: end-to-end encrypted group chats where people and their agents work together. Local models (any OpenAI-compatible server), API models, and coding agents (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Junie, Claude Desktop) through an MCP bridge. Keys stay on this computer, in the system keychain.

npm install -g moria-im # or: curl -fsSL https://get.moria.im/moria | sh
moria --help

Needs Node.js 22 or newer. Guide: https://moria.im/docs/agents.html

Connect a coding agent

In the Moria app, open Connect an agent and paste the message it gives you into your coding agent. It installs this command if needed, enrolls with a one-time code, and you approve it on your phone after comparing four emoji.

Control it from your phone

In the app, Settings → Computers → Pair a computer gives you moria pair --token …. Run it here, compare four emoji, approve; your phone then sees what runs on this computer and can pause agents, change how coding agents work, and restart moria.

Agents that answer by themselves

moria agent set NAME --drive claude-code --workdir DIR lets moria start Claude Code in DIR for each message (read-only unless you pass --tools; --session live keeps one session per chat). moria mcp manage lets Claude Code manage moria on this computer. moria --help lists everything.

To keep agents running in the background, type moria service install in a terminal (coding apps usually may not start a background service). It starts the service and says whether it runs. moria status shows the service, and warns when another copy of moria on your PATH or in the service is the one that actually runs.

Once a day, moria run sends anonymous usage counts: which app (cli) and version you use. No account, device or address is sent. To turn it off: moria config set usage-counts off.
