Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

mostcracked

The global leaderboard for people who code with Claude Code, Codex, omp and Cursor. Live at mostcracked.com.

Every prompt you send and every file your agent edits is a point. Everyone lands on one board, ranked live. Your rank also sits in your terminal statusline while you work.

It counts prompts and file edits through your agent's own hooks. Only the counts leave your machine. Never your code.

🥇 jay prompts 128 edits 94 score 222
🥈 ada prompts 111 edits 80 score 191
🥉 linus prompts 76 edits 60 score 136

Get on the board

npx mostcracked login

It signs you in with GitHub (enter a one-time code at github.com/login/device, or reuse your gh CLI session), asks which agents you use (Claude Code, Codex, omp, or several) and wires the hooks. Restart your agent and the counting starts.

Check your rank any time with npx mostcracked status, or at mostcracked.com.

New machine? Run npx mostcracked login again. GitHub is your identity, so there's nothing to recover.

You don't start from zero. On sign-in it offers to backfill your last 7 days from your local agent history. Per-day counts only, once per account.

The hooks keep themselves current. They pick up new versions of these scripts on their own, so you'll rarely need npx mostcracked update.

To stop: npx mostcracked leave.

Privacy

Sign-in is real GitHub auth with the read:user scope, which is your public profile and nothing else. It can't touch your code, repos, or orgs.

Only event counts leave your machine. No prompts, no diffs, no file contents.
