Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A handy collection of functions I might want to reuse.

Why is it called motherbase? Blame it on playing Metal Gear Solid 5 too much.

Functions

first(xs)

Returns the first element of an array.

flatten(arr)

Flattens an array to one level.

setDifference(a, b)

Returns an array representing the set difference between two arrays.

intersection(a)(b)

Returns an array representing the intersection between two arrays.

getDeepProp(obj, path)

Returns the value of an object property path from an object.

createObj(value, key)

Returns a new object with a single key/value property.

createNestedObj(path, value)

Returns a new nested object matching the path provided, setting the value of the innermost property.

makePropArray(obj, path)

Verifies whether an object property is an array, and if not, returns a new object changing that property into a single-item array.

range(min, max)

Generates an array of Number values starting at min and ending at max with a step value of 1.
