Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Comparative mythology as citable data — Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian gods and primary sources

This package is a local MCP server that proxies to https://mythosdata.dev/mcp. It carries no corpus: every answer comes from the live endpoint, so it cannot serve anything stale.

If your client speaks remote MCP, you do not need this

Point it straight at the endpoint and skip the install:

claude mcp add --transport http mythos-data-mcp https://mythosdata.dev/mcp

This package exists for the clients that only speak stdio.

Install (not published yet)

npx mythos-data-mcp does not work yet: the package is generated here but is not on npm, so the command would fail. Until it is published, point your client straight at the endpoint as above, or run this directory locally.

The source is in place — that is what this package is — and the install section here becomes a command in the same change that publishes it.

Version

2026.903.201 — year, month-day of the newest verification in the corpus, and the number of knowledge objects. It moves when the knowledge moves, not when the framework releases (ADR-017).

Code: BUSL-1.1. The knowledge served by the endpoint carries its own licence, stated by the endpoint itself.
