Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n community node for Agent Grove: connect n8n to the AI agents hosted on your Agent Grove account.

Agent Grove is a platform that hosts AI agents for you: the prompts, tools, memory and model choices live in Agent Grove, and this node runs one of those agents from an n8n workflow and returns its answer.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation Operations Credentials Compatibility Usage Resources

Installation

Self-hosted n8n: open Settings → Community Nodes → Install a community node, enter n8n-nodes-agent-grove, and follow the prompts.

Published by Automatry Ltd (npm user automatry).

n8n Cloud vs self-hosted

Verified community nodes can be installed on n8n Cloud by instance owners and admins from the nodes panel; unverified community nodes are not available on n8n Cloud and require self-hosting n8n. This node becomes Cloud-installable once it passes the n8n verification process; until then it can be installed on any self-hosted n8n instance via the steps above.

Operations

| Operation | Description | |---|---| | Run | Send input to an agent and wait for its answer | | Get | Fetch one agent by id | | List | List the agents available on your Agent Grove account |

Credentials

Create an API key in Agent Grove under Settings → Integrations, and paste it into the credential's API Key field. Leave Base URL untouched unless Agent Grove gave you another address. The node authenticates with a Bearer token on every request.

Compatibility

Targets current n8n 2.x. Built with the official @n8n/node-cli tool.

Usage

Example: run an agent on a Manual Trigger

A minimal workflow that runs an agent with a Manual Trigger ships in examples/run-agent.workflow.json. In short: a Manual Trigger node feeds an Agent Grove node set to the Run operation, with the agent name picked from the credential's agent list and a prompt expression such as {{ $json.query }} in the Input field. Executing the workflow returns each agent answer as a JSON item.

Use it as an AI Agent tool

The Agent Grove node is usable as an AI Agent tool. In an AI Agent workflow, attach the node as a tool and the model can call an Agent Grove agent (list the agents or run one with an input) on its own.

Resources

See examples/run-agent.workflow.json for a minimal workflow that runs an agent with a Manual Trigger.

The node itself stores nothing: it only relays requests to and responses from your Agent Grove account. Prompts, tools and settings live in Agent Grove.
