Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n community node for AITIZER — Smart Tables, records, views, automations, semantic search and AI agents in your workflows.

n8n-nodes-aitizer

Official AITIZER community node for n8n — bring Smart Tables, the automation engine, semantic search and AI agents into your workflows, with the AITIZER logo and a first-class credential.

Resources & operations

| Resource | Operations | |---|---| | Record | Create / Update with a field mapper (pick columns from a live dropdown) or raw JSON · Get · Get Many · Delete | | Automation | Run Action Column — pick the action column from a dropdown, run it on specific record(s) or the whole table · Compute Cell | | Vector Search | Semantic Search · Vectorize Record · Sync Table | | AI Agent | Send Message (conversation memory via session ID) | | Table | Get Many · Create (with initial columns) · Delete | | Column | Get Many · Create (all 22 types) · Update · Delete | | View | Get Many · Create (kanban lanes picked from your single-selects) · Delete |

Dynamic & smart, Airtable-style

  • Table picker is a searchable live list loaded from your workspace (or switch to "By ID").
  • Column dropdowns load from the selected table — the Run Action picker shows only action columns, the kanban picker shows only single-selects.
  • Records are never listed in the config — record IDs come from your flow (expressions), exactly like the Airtable node.

Creating a record through this node runs the table's whole pipeline — formulas compute, action columns fire, embeddings update. One n8n node, a full AITIZER automation.

The node is also flagged usableAsTool, so n8n AI Agents can call AITIZER as a tool.

Credentials

Create an AITIZER API credential in n8n:

  • Base URLhttps://api.aitizer.com (or your self-hosted domain)
  • API Token — a workspace-scoped rest_api token created inside your AITIZER workspace

The credential test calls GET /functions/v1/rest-api/tables.

Install

Option A — self-hosted n8n (Docker), without npm publish

# copy the package into the n8n container's custom-extensions folder
docker cp n8n-nodes-aitizer <n8n-container>:/home/node/.n8n/custom/n8n-nodes-aitizer
docker restart <n8n-container>

If /home/node/.n8n/custom does not exist yet, create it first (docker exec <c> mkdir -p /home/node/.n8n/custom). n8n picks up any package in that folder that has the n8n block in its package.json.

Alternatively set N8N_CUSTOM_EXTENSIONS=/data/custom and mount the folder there.

Option B — via npm (after publishing)

Publish to npm as n8n-nodes-aitizer, then in n8n: Settings → Community Nodes → Installn8n-nodes-aitizer.

Quick test workflow

  1. AITIZER → Record → Create on a table with an ai_agent action column.
  2. Watch the response carry the AI-computed fields back into your flow.
  3. Chain AITIZER → Vector Search → Semantic Search to retrieve similar records.
