Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n-nodes-breezy-hr

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use Breezy HR in your n8n workflows.

Breezy HR is a recruiting and applicant tracking system (ATS) for managing candidates, positions, and hiring pipelines.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation Operations Credentials Compatibility Usage Resources

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

This package ships two nodes.

Breezy HR (action node)

  • Company
    • Get — retrieve a single company
    • Get Many — list the companies you can access
  • Position
    • Create, Get, Get Many, Update
    • Set State — publish, draft, archive, or close a position
  • Candidate
    • Create, Get, Get Many, Update
    • Set Stage — move a candidate to a different pipeline stage
    • Move — move a candidate to another position and stage
    • Add Note — add an internal team note
    • Download Resume — download the candidate's resume as binary data

Company, position, candidate, and stage fields are dropdowns that load live from your Breezy account — pick a company and the position list narrows to it, pick a position and the candidate/stage lists narrow to it.

Breezy HR Trigger

Starts a workflow when events happen in Breezy. Auto-registers and cleans up its webhook with Breezy on activation/deactivation, and verifies each delivery's HMAC-SHA256 signature. Supported events:

  • Candidate: Added, Deleted, Status Updated
  • Position: Added, Updated, Deleted, State Updated
  • Note: Posted, Updated, Deleted

Breezy only accepts public HTTPS webhook URLs, so the trigger cannot register against http://localhost. When self-hosting locally, expose n8n with a tunnel (e.g. Cloudflare Tunnel or ngrok) and set WEBHOOK_URL accordingly.

Credentials

Authentication uses a Breezy Personal Access Token (PAT).

  1. Sign in to Breezy and open your account settings.
  2. Create a Personal Access Token (it starts with breezy_pat_).
  3. In n8n, create a Breezy HR API credential and paste the token.

n8n validates the token against Breezy's /v3/user endpoint when you save the credential. See the Breezy authentication docs for details.

Compatibility

Tested against n8n 2.x. Requires n8n 1.60.0 or later.

Usage

A common pattern: use the Breezy HR Trigger with Candidate Status Updated to start a workflow whenever a candidate changes stage, then branch on the new stage to send a Slack message, kick off onboarding, or update another system. To attach a resume to those downstream steps, follow the trigger with a Breezy HR → Candidate → Download Resume node and wire its binary output into an upload or email node.
