Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

n8n-nodes-bvb

Community n8n node for the Bucharest Stock Exchange (Bursa de Valori București, bvb.ro) — quotes, company metadata, and the full list of listed shares for Romanian equities. No API key.

BVB data is absent from the n8n ecosystem: investors and financial firms either check the site by hand or write custom scripts. This connects the Romanian capital market to any n8n workflow.

Installation

From the n8n UI (recommended)

  1. Go to Settings → Community Nodes → Install.
  2. Enter n8n-nodes-bvb and confirm.
  3. The BVB Stock node appears in the node panel.

With npm

npm install n8n-nodes-bvb

Example workflow

workflows/bvbStock-example.json — every hour during trading, fetch a stock's quote; if it drops past your threshold, branch to a Telegram/email alert and a log. Import via Workflows → Import from File and swap the placeholders for your alert/sheet nodes.

Local development

Tests

npm test

Tests run against real BVB page snapshots (an instrument page + the shares list) and a real chart-datafeed response, covering Romanian number parsing, quote scraping, the company list, and the change-alert logic.

Limitations

Intraday volume and historical OHLCV by date range are not yet available (not exposed on the public pages / datafeed). Prices are the exchange's delayed public data.
