Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n-nodes-chainscope

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use ChainScope in your n8n workflows.

ChainScope is a multi-chain (Ethereum, Base, Bitcoin, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon) wallet and transaction intelligence API — balances, transaction lookup, network fees, contract metadata, token holdings, address activity history, ENS resolution, and a flagship wallet-scan combining all of it plus OFAC sanctions screening. Paid per call in USDC on Base via x402 — no API keys, no signup.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation Operations Credentials Compatibility Usage Resources

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation, or install n8n-nodes-chainscope directly from the Community Nodes tab in a self-hosted n8n instance.

Operations

  • Wallet Balance — native balance for an address on any of the 7 supported chains.
  • Transaction Lookup — status/from/to/value/fee/timestamp for a transaction hash.
  • Network Fee Estimate — current slow/standard/fast fee levels for a chain.
  • Contract Inspect — name/symbol/decimals for an ERC-20-style contract (EVM chains only).
  • Token Holdings — a wallet's token balances (watchlist on EVM chains, full enumeration on Solana).
  • Address Activity — recent transaction history for an address.
  • Wallet Scan (Flagship) — balance + holdings + activity + OFAC sanctions check in one call.
  • ENS Resolve — forward (name.eth → address) or reverse (address → name) resolution.
  • Wallet Balance Batch — up to 10 wallets across mixed chains in one call.

Credentials

You need an EVM wallet funded with a small amount of USDC on Base mainnet (a few dollars covers thousands of calls at ChainScope's per-call prices, currently $0.01–$0.04). Create a "ChainScope Wallet" credential in n8n and paste the wallet's private key — it's used locally, at execution time, to sign each payment; it is never sent to ChainScope or logged anywhere.

The credential also has a Max Payment Per Call field (default $0.25) — a local safety ceiling. The node refuses to sign a payment above this amount no matter what a response asks for, protecting the wallet against a compromised or malicious server requesting an inflated charge.

Compatibility

Tested against n8n's programmatic node API v1. Requires Node.js 20+ (same as n8n itself).

Usage

Pick a Tool from the dropdown; the relevant fields (address, chain, etc.) appear below it. Each execution pays for exactly one call — chain a Schedule Trigger node in front of this node for recurring checks (e.g. daily wallet balance monitoring).
