Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

n8n-nodes-edgeapis

This is an n8n community node for EdgeAPIs services.

Available Nodes

  • Web Scraper: Convert any URL into clean Markdown.
  • QR Code Generator: Generate an SVG QR Code for any text or URL.
  • Link Preview: Extract OpenGraph metadata (title, description, image, etc.) from any URL.
  • Content Moderation: Detect profanity and unsafe content in text.

Installation

To install this package in your n8n instance:

  1. Go to Settings > Community Nodes in your n8n interface.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Enter n8n-nodes-edgeapis.
  4. Click Install to add the nodes to your n8n workspace.

Credentials

To use these nodes, you need a RapidAPI key for the EdgeAPIs endpoints.

  1. Create a free account or log in at RapidAPI.
  2. Subscribe to the EdgeAPIs you wish to use by visiting their pages (search for "EdgeAPIs" or use the direct links below).
  3. Copy your API Key (X-RapidAPI-Key).
  4. In n8n, create a new EdgeAPIs (RapidAPI Key) credential and paste your API key.

Usage & Workflows

Each node is straightforward and expects one primary input, returning a JSON response. Connect these nodes directly into your workflows to automate data extraction, content generation, and moderation easily!

Example Use-Cases:

  • Web Scraper: Summarizing long articles for your newsletter.
  • QR Code: Generating tickets or event badges dynamically.
  • Link Preview: Fetching OpenGraph data when someone posts a link in Discord or Slack.
  • Content Moderation: Filtering out bad words from user-submitted reviews before saving them to a database.
