Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Evernote community node for n8n (notes, notebooks, tags)

Readme

n8n-nodes-evernote

This is an n8n community node for Evernote. It lets you create, read, update, delete, and search notes, plus list notebooks and tags using an Evernote developer token.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation Operations Credentials Compatibility Usage Resources Version history

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

  • Note: create, read (ENML or HTML), update (replace or append), delete, search (metadata by default, optional full notes).
  • Notebook: list notebooks (name, GUID, stack, default flag).
  • Tag: list tags (name, GUID, parent GUID).

Credentials

  • Use an Evernote developer token (personal access token). Add it to the Evernote API credential in n8n.
  • Toggle Use Sandbox if your token targets the Evernote sandbox environment.

Compatibility

Node 24.x is required. Use nvm use (with the provided .nvmrc) or your version manager of choice before installing to satisfy the engines and engine-strict checks.

Usage

  • Content formats: choose Plain Text (wrapped in ENML) or HTML (sanitized to ENML). When reading, you can request raw ENML or simplified HTML.
  • Content editing modes (Note → Update):
    • Replace Content: rebuilds the note body from the provided Content/HTML Content.
    • Append to Content: loads the existing body and appends the provided Content/HTML Content at the end.
    • Keep Existing Content: leaves the body unchanged so you can update only title, tags, notebook, or attributes.
    • Search & Replace in Content: loads the existing body and runs a text or regex search & replace before saving.
  • Note attributes: optional Note Attributes (JSON) field lets you send attributes such as {"sourceURL": "https://example.com"} on create/update.
  • Independent updates: with Keep Existing Content, you can move a note between notebooks, change tags, and update attributes or title without touching the body.
  • Attachments: enable “Add Attachments” and list binary property names (comma-separated). Attachments are hashed (MD5) and injected as <en-media> in the note.
  • Search: uses Evernote search grammar. Defaults to metadata; enable “Full Notes” to fetch complete notes.
