Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Google Lens API for n8n

An n8n community node for the Google Lens API on Apify. reverse image search from any image URL. Get visually similar results, shoppable product matches with prices, or every page carrying the exact image, as structured items. Apify-backed community node, pay-per-result, usable as an AI agent tool.

This is the Apify-backed node: no proxies, browsers or maintenance on your side, billed per result on your Apify account, and it works as an AI Agent tool.

Install

  1. In n8n, open Settings then Community Nodes.
  2. Choose Install a community node and enter n8n-nodes-google-lens-api.
  3. Confirm and restart when prompted. The Google Lens node then appears in the node picker.

Self-hosted n8n only; n8n Cloud does not load community nodes.

Credentials

The node needs an Apify API token.

  1. Create a free account at apify.com.
  2. In the Apify Console, open Settings then API & Integrations and copy your token.
  3. In n8n, create an Apify API key connection credential and paste the token.

Operations

  • Search: Look up an image URL and return matching results, one item per match.

Output modes

  • Simplified (default): a compact, LLM-friendly subset of fields. Forced automatically when the node runs as an AI Agent tool, to save context.
  • Raw: every field the API produces.
  • Selected Fields: pick exactly the fields you want.

Example workflows

  1. Stolen image sweep: loop your portfolio's image URLs through Search with Exact Matches and collect every page using them into a takedown sheet.
  2. Product matcher: feed product photos in and get shoppable matches with prices for competitive research.
