n8n-nodes-prosody
An n8n community node for the Prosody service, which reshapes the pitch, tempo, and intensity of an existing audio clip to match a target emotion.
Installation
Follow the n8n community nodes installation guide, or install manually:
npm install n8n-nodes-prosodyConfiguration
This node talks to a self-hosted Prosody service, so it doesn't use a formal n8n credential — Base URL and API Key are set directly on the node:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Base URL | URL of your Prosody service instance, e.g. http://localhost:8008 for a self-hosted deployment |
| API Key (Optional) | Only required if your Prosody instance enforces authentication — leave empty otherwise |
Operations
The Prosody node supports:
- Apply Emotion to Audio — reshapes an input WAV file's pitch/tempo/intensity for a chosen emotion preset (or fully custom manual values).
- List Emotion Presets — returns the full male/female preset table currently configured on the service.
- Health Check — confirms the service is reachable before running a batch job.
Emotion presets include Neutral, Relieved, Warm, Hopeful, Anxious, Nervous, Frustrated, Assertive, Urgent, Determined, Resolute, Dread-Filled, Exhausted, Resigned, Authoritative, Declarative, Institutional, Dismissive, Questioning, Confident, Victorious, and Approving — or skip the preset table entirely with a Custom option for exact manual pitch/tempo/intensity values.
Notes
- This node is designed to point at a self-hosted Prosody service instance (the default Base URL is
localhost), rather than a shared public API — set the Base URL to wherever your instance is actually running.
