Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n-nodes-pushary

v0.1.0

Published

n8n community node for Pushary: send push notifications and pause your workflow for human approval from your phone or Slack.

Readme

n8n-nodes-pushary

An n8n community node for Pushary. Send push notifications and pause a workflow for human approval, answered from your phone, the web, or Slack.

This is the no-code way to put a human in the loop: when your automation reaches a point that needs a person to decide (approve a payment, confirm an email blast, choose a branch), the workflow pauses and notifies you. It resumes with your answer.

Install

In n8n: Settings → Community Nodes → Install, then enter:

n8n-nodes-pushary

Self-hosted n8n only (community nodes are not available on n8n Cloud's verified-only tier without enabling them).

Credentials

Create a Pushary API credential with your API key from the Pushary dashboard under Agent → Settings → API keys (it looks like pk_xxx.sk_xxx). Use the Test button to confirm it works.

Operations

Ask for Approval

Sends a question to your phone (and Slack, if connected) and, by default, waits for the answer.

  • Question Type
    • Confirm returns value: "yes" or "no".
    • Select shows your comma-separated Options (2 to 6) as buttons; value is the chosen option.
    • Input lets the person type a reply; value is the text.
  • Wait for Answer (on) blocks the node up to Timeout seconds (max 55) and outputs { answered, value }. The question stays open for 10 minutes, so a Wait + loop can keep polling for longer approvals.
  • Wait for Answer (off) returns immediately with a correlationId and pollUrl. Set a Callback URL to have Pushary POST the answer to a Wait-for-webhook node when the person responds.

Example output (confirm, answered):

{ "correlationId": "…", "status": "answered", "answered": true, "value": "yes" }

Send Notification

A fire-and-forget alert. Title, Body, and an optional Link URL opened when tapped. Good for "job finished" or "job failed" pings at the end of a run.

How answers sync

The node calls the Pushary REST API (/api/v1/server/ask and /send). Answers from your phone, the Pushary web decision page, and Slack all resolve the same question, so it does not matter which one you tap.

Develop

npm install
npm run build # tsc + copy the icon into dist
npm run typecheck
