Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

n8n-nodes-scraperex

This is an n8n community node for the ScrapeRex web scraping API.

ScrapeRex provides fast HTTP scraping with anti-bot bypass, headless browser scraping with full JS rendering, AI-powered data extraction, and more.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

Scrape (HTTP)

  • Scrape URL — Fast HTTP scraping with Chrome TLS fingerprints for anti-bot bypass. Best for static pages, APIs, and server-rendered content.

Browser Scrape (JS)

  • Scrape URL with Browser — Full headless browser with JavaScript rendering. Supports screenshots, browser automation steps, device emulation, cookie consent handling, and more. Best for SPAs and dynamic content.

Extract

  • Extract from HTML — Run content extraction on raw HTML without fetching a URL. Supports Markdown, JSON, JSON-LD, Next.js data, custom JS extractors, CSS/XPath rules, and AI-powered extraction.

Generate

  • Generate Extraction Tool — AI-powered tool builder that creates reusable CSS extraction rules or Cheerio JS code from HTML + field descriptions.

Proxy

  • Get Proxy Status — Check the health and availability of proxy pools across all geo locations.

Credentials

You need a RapidAPI key to use this node. Get one at rapidapi.com.

  1. Sign up at RapidAPI
  2. Subscribe to the ScrapeRex API
  3. Copy your RapidAPI key
  4. In n8n, create a new ScrapeRex API credential and paste your key
