Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n community node for Verifly — agent-native email verification. Verify single addresses, run async bulk jobs, and read account/usage from your workflows.

n8n-nodes-verifly

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use Verifly — agent-native email verification — in your n8n workflows.

Verifly validates whether an email address is real and deliverable: syntax, domain, MX records, SMTP, disposable/role/catch-all detection, and a confidence score. It is built API-first so automations and AI agents can clean lists and gate sends without a human in the loop.

Installation · Credentials · Operations · Usage example · Resources

Installation

Follow the community nodes installation guide in the n8n docs.

In your n8n instance go to Settings → Community Nodes → Install and enter:

n8n-nodes-verifly

Credentials

You need a Verifly API key (it starts with vf_). Create one in the Verifly dashboard, then in n8n add a Verifly API credential and paste the key.

| Field | Description | | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | API Key | Your Verifly API key (vf_...). Sent as a Bearer token. | | Base URL | API base URL. Defaults to https://verifly.email; change only for self-host. |

The credential is verified against GET /api/v1/account when you click Test.

Operations

Email

  • Verify — validate a single email address in real time. Returns is_valid, result (deliverable / undeliverable / risky), a recommendation (send / risky / do_not_send), a confidence score (0–100), a did_you_mean typo suggestion, and a details breakdown (syntax, domain, MX, SMTP, disposable, role, catch-all, free provider).

Bulk Job

  • Create — submit an asynchronous bulk verification job from a list of emails. Optionally set a filename label and a webhook_url that Verifly calls on completion. Returns the job ID.
  • Get Status — check a job's status and progress by job ID.
  • Get Results — fetch the per-email results of a completed job by job ID.

Account

  • Get Profile — account profile and remaining credit balance.
  • Get Usage — usage summary over a day / week / month period.

Usage example

A common agent-native pattern: clean inbound leads before they reach your CRM.

  1. Webhook / form trigger receives a new lead with an email field.
  2. Verifly → Email → Verify with email set to {{ $json.email }}.
  3. IF node on {{ $json.recommendation }} — route send straight to your CRM, send risky to a review queue, and drop do_not_send.

For list hygiene at scale, use Bulk Job → Create with all the addresses, poll Get Status until it reports complete, then pull Get Results to write the clean list back out. Pair this with an AI Agent so the agent decides whom to contact based on Verifly's verdict — no manual list scrubbing.
