Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

nano-fw

nano-fw (nano-sized framework) is a minimal, schema-driven TypeScript micro-framework powered by Hono, Zod, Knex, and OpenAPI.
It's small, pragmatic, ESM-first and TypeScript-first.
It provides type-safe request and response validation, automatic OpenAPI generation with Scalar docs, and transparent transactional repositories via AsyncLocalStorage.

Requirements

Dependencies:

  • fnm (eg: brew install fnm)
  • add eval "$(fnm env --use-on-cd)" into your ~/.zprofile or ~/.profile

Development

Setup:

fnm install
npm install -g corepack
corepack enable
corepack install
pnpm install

Linting:

pnpm lint # lint
pnpm tsc # typecheck

Testing:

docker run -d --name nano-fw -p 5432:5432 -e POSTGRES_USER=user -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=password -e POSTGRES_DB=nano-fw postgres:18-alpine
pnpm test

Usage

Install:

pnpm i nano-fw

Add the suggested scripts to your package.json:
