What it does: a full-screen dashboard, or one-shot snapshots. Funding rate and its annualised cost, open interest and where it sits against its own peak, the four long/short ratios, basis, order book depth, index constituents, and a liquidation estimate for a position you type in yourself. Proxies are discovered automatically and mirror domains are ranked by measured latency. Every query command takes --json.

niu ai takes any OpenAI-compatible endpoint or any local CLI fed on stdin, so analysis can stay on your machine. Presets are markdown files; drop one into ~/.config/niu/prompts/ and it shows up with no Go involved.

The package itself is a launcher. The real program is a single Go binary that arrives through one of the niulai-<platform>-<arch> optional dependencies. If your registry or install flags skip optional dependencies, the postinstall script downloads the same archive from the GitHub release instead; it uses curl first so HTTPS_PROXY is honoured, and NIU_BINARY_MIRROR lets you point at a mirror.

niu only reads public market data. It cannot place orders, it needs no API key, and it is not investment advice.
