Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

nodeflare-agentkit

v0.2.0

Published

Coinbase AgentKit action provider for NodeFlare — read on-chain data across 23 EVM chains (incl. young chains like Robinhood, Plasma, Ink) through one provider, addressed by chain name. No per-chain RPC setup.

Readme

nodeflare-agentkit

A Coinbase AgentKit action provider that gives your on-chain agent read access to 23 EVM chains through one provider — Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, HyperEVM, Polygon, and young chains like Robinhood Chain, Plasma, Ink, Zircuit, BOB and Soneium that no other agent toolkit covers out of the box.

Unlike a wallet-bound provider, every action takes an explicit chain argument (slug, name, or chain ID), so an agent queries any supported chain without configuring 23 separate RPCs. Backed by NodeFlare's own bare-metal nodes; the public read tier needs no API key.

Install

npm install nodeflare-agentkit

Requires @coinbase/agentkit, viem and zod (peer deps). Your tsconfig.json needs experimentalDecorators and emitDecoratorMetadata (AgentKit already requires these).

Usage

import { AgentKit } from "@coinbase/agentkit";
import { getVercelAITools } from "@coinbase/agentkit-vercel-ai-sdk";
import { nodeflareActionProvider } from "nodeflare-agentkit";

const agentKit = await AgentKit.from({
  walletProvider,                              // your existing EvmWalletProvider
  actionProviders: [nodeflareActionProvider()],
});

const tools = getVercelAITools(agentKit);
// generateText({ model, tools, prompt: "What's the gas price on Base and Ink right now?" })

LangChain: import { getLangChainTools } from "@coinbase/agentkit-langchain"await getLangChainTools(agentKit).

Actions

| Action | Description | |---|---| | get_supported_chains | The 23 chains, with chain IDs and native currencies | | get_block_number | Latest block on any chain | | get_native_balance | Native-token balance of an address (ETH, BNB, POL, SEI…) | | get_erc20_balance | ERC-20 balance for a holder, human-readable | | get_token_metadata | ERC-20 name, symbol, decimals, total supply | | get_gas_price | Current gas price in gwei | | get_transaction | Look up a transaction by hash | | get_multichain_balances | Native + ERC-20 balances for one address across many of the 23 chains in one call (incl. young chains) |

Every action's chain argument accepts a slug (base), a name (ethereum, bsc), or a numeric chain ID (8453).

Notes

  • Read-only. This provider does not send transactions or touch the agent's wallet — it reads public chain data through NodeFlare's gateway.
  • Free public tier. Heavy methods (eth_getLogs, trace) aren't exposed here; for those, use the NodeFlare MCP server with a free API key, or x402 pay-per-call.
