Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for Oakstack: scheduled jobs, webhooks, PDFs, and email your coding agent can set up for you.

Readme

oakstack-mcp

The Oakstack MCP server. It lets your coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and other MCP clients) create and debug scheduled jobs and webhook endpoints for your app.

You need an Oakstack API key: create one at oakstack.dev/dashboard/api-keys.

Hosted (recommended, nothing to install)

claude mcp add --transport http oakstack https://oakstack.dev/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $OAKSTACK_API_KEY"

Other clients: Streamable HTTP at https://oakstack.dev/mcp, with the header Authorization: Bearer <your key>.

Local (stdio)

claude mcp add oakstack -e OAKSTACK_API_KEY=ok_live_... -- npx -y oakstack-mcp
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "oakstack": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "oakstack-mcp"],
      "env": { "OAKSTACK_API_KEY": "ok_live_..." }
    }
  }
}

Tools

| Tool | What it does | | ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | clock_create_job | Call a URL in your app on a cron schedule (time zones, retries, run log) | | clock_list_jobs, clock_get_job | See jobs, next run, and last result | | clock_update_job | Change a job, or pause and resume it | | clock_run_job | Run a job now, to test it | | clock_list_runs | Recent runs with status code, response, and error | | clock_delete_job | Delete a job | | hook_create_endpoint | A permanent inbound webhook URL that forwards to your app | | hook_list_endpoints, hook_get_endpoint | See endpoints and their inbound URLs | | hook_update_endpoint | Change the forward URL, or pause forwarding (events are held, not lost) | | hook_list_events, hook_get_event | Events with every delivery attempt, for debugging | | hook_replay_event | Send an event again after fixing your handler | | hook_delete_endpoint | Delete an endpoint | | oakstack_usage | Plan and usage against limits | | oakstack_docs | Full docs as markdown |
