Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

oc-harness-setup

v0.3.2

Published

Plug-and-play OpenCode harness: orchestrator primary, agents, commands, skills, git ceremony, doctor - installed by one explicit command.

Readme

What it is

oc-harness-setup is a plug-and-play installer for the whole OpenCode harness. One explicit command lands an orchestrator primary with 7 agents, 14 commands, 20 skills, 18 PowerShell scripts, and a 16-law doctor gate that proves the install. It is a pure Node ESM package with zero runtime dependencies, shipped via npm.

Why

Setting up the harness by hand means copying dozens of files and hoping they agree. This pack makes setup consent-first, idempotent, and verified: the full manifest prints before anything moves, re-runs skip identical files, and every install ends on the harness's own doctor. Installation never modifies config by itself; setup is always an explicit command, never a postinstall.

Features

  • One-command setup: npx --yes oc-harness-setup setup, then restart OpenCode
  • Consent gate: the full manifest prints before anything moves; --dry-run changes nothing
  • Idempotent: re-run anytime, identical files are skipped
  • Verified: ends on the 16-law harness doctor; failures name the check, the detail, and a fix
  • Config-preserving merge: your model, providers, MCP, and plugins survive; runtime policy is owned by the pack
  • Fail-closed permissions: the deny set survives --auto, skills load from an exact allowlist
  • Reversible: a SHA-256 journal records every touched file; --uninstall restores from backup
  • Zero runtime dependencies: pure Node ESM, stdlib only

Install

  1. Run the installer: npx --yes oc-harness-setup setup
  2. Restart OpenCode.
  3. Verify: pwsh -File ~/.config/opencode/scripts/harness-doctor.ps1

Requires Node >= 22. The doctor gate needs PowerShell 7; where it is missing, laws are reported as skipped, not passed.

Usage

Preview without touching a file:

npx --yes oc-harness-setup setup --dry-run

Install for real:

npx --yes oc-harness-setup setup

Remove everything the installer created and restore overwritten files from backup:

npx --yes oc-harness-setup setup --uninstall

Build from source

Prerequisites: Node >= 22 and Bun (for the test suite). No build step: pure Node ESM, stdlib only.
