offrouter-adapter-continue

Continue adapter for OffRouter. Installs the OffRouter MCP server into Continue's ~/.continue/config.json so offrouter install continue works, with rollback.

Install

npm install offrouter-adapter-continue

Then register with the CLI:

offrouter install continue --profile continue-personal

This appends the OffRouter MCP server entry ({ name: "offrouter", command: "offrouter", args: ["mcp", "serve"] }) to the top-level mcpServers array in Continue's config file, enabling policy-based model selection for delegated tasks. The entry is merged (never clobbering other servers) and is fully rollback-able via offrouter uninstall continue.

Continue config location and format

• Config file: ~/.continue/config.json
• Format choice: Continue's current docs describe ~/.continue/config.yaml with a top-level mcpServers: list, but this repo carries no YAML dependency and the adapter must merge safely without adding one. Continue also accepts ~/.continue/config.json with the same shape (a top-level mcpServers array of { name, command, args } entries), so this adapter targets the JSON file.

Set OFFROUTER_CONTINUE_DIR to override the config directory (used for tests and non-default Continue setups).
